I have questions…
A. Pricing depends on what type of orthotic is needed as well as the kind of specifications your customized treatment plan requires.
Most insurance plans do offer full or partial coverage for the cost of orthotics. Check with your insurance provider to see what your plan covers!
A. Typically, the process takes about two weeks from initial consultation and assessment to final fitting.
Be sure to take this into account when booking your appointments, as our billing is based on when you are picking up your orthotics, not when you have your assessment. This is important if you are looking to use your insurance coverage.
A. The lifespan of an orthotic depends on a variety of factors;
- How often you use them and for how long
- What types of activities you engage in
- If you are switching them between shoes
Typically orthotics will last from 2-5 years. Your mileage may vary 😉
A. Free adjustments within the first year, they are adjustable, “If after 3-4 weeks of regular wear, they are still uncomfortable then we encourage you to contact our office to make an appointment for an adjustment”
A. Certainly! The orthotics are transferable to shoes which are similar to the ones they were designed for.
A. When we take moulds of your feet we save the plaster casts, this ensures that making replacements or extra pairs is a snap!
A. Orthotics can be designed to fit many different styles of footwear.
A. Wear pants or shorts that can be rolled up and stay up when walking (NO SKIRTS OR DRESSES), couple of pairs of shoes or boots that you typically wear (so that we can see wear pattern on footwear), prescription (Rx) - if you have coverage or are planning to use coverage.
A. “The answer is: it depends. Every plan is different; we suggest that you review your specific coverage plan and give us a call if you have any further questions beyond that.”
